It was the morning of May 22, 2007. I was at Vijaywada. I recieved a telephone call from my parents that i had got something from ISRO. I knew it might be some og the goodies(i mean brochures) from the Space Research Centre. So, I was extrmely happy that I got something for my project. Then I returned home on 23rd. I saw that it was really informative. I found an appreciation letter from Dr. D. Radhakrishnan from ISRO Headquarters. The text was like this :
Dear Master Sujit Kumar
This has reference to your e-mail to the Chairman,ISRO with regard to the technique that rockets can be launched within the atmosphere without any pollution.
We fully appreciate the interest you have shown in Rocket technology even though you are so young and studying in school. We are happy that you have been following up the ISRO activities as well quite regularly.
As you may be aware, the propulsion systems used in our rocket systems are the chemical propulsion systems. So, your innovative idea of using pollution free system is quite interesting.
To familiarize you with some of the fundamental concepts of rocketry and science a book and a few technical brochures are enclosed for your use.
Let me wish you all the bestin your academic career and a bright future.
Radhakrishan.D
Really the data in the brochures was of much value to me. The book enclosed was "The Call Of Space" which depicted the concepts of rocketry and the tehnical brochures gave information about the PSLV C3 and also Chandrayaan Mission. I knew about the mission before its launching and also its orbit. Really it was a blessing for me.
